Public Libraries Professor A. Bielefield Catalog Description Organization, administration, and services of municipal, county, and regional libraries. Basic developments and trends are considered. The role of public libraries as educational institutions is examined.
Course Objectives 1. Gain knowledge of public library history; 2. Understand public library organization and governance; 3. Recognize staffing needs; 4. Identify community requirements for services and programs.
